HEY LOOK GUYS MORE PSYCHONAUTS FANART

I've been getting back into the game since Double Fine made a Psycho-pedia which is like a wiki for all things Psychonauts and I've been adding junk to it and aaaaaa yes

... I still love Nightmares holy geez <3 I actually went with more of the original Nightmare style instead of my own, which is why this one has a human hand and no double forked tongue. My Nightmares only have the creepy hands and the double forked tonuges ((but apparently some people have thought it was canon so 8U))

this painting took a few days actually, but I really really like how it came out~ Another lineless and aaaa I dunno

... wow I can't think of anything to say I must be braindead.

Okay, this is gonna' sound dumb, but I saw this at first and I thought 'oh, okay, cute, a little Nightmare drawing someone used the Paint tool on Photoshop on and claimed was a ';painting' :|'. Because I've seen that before, though the subject was, of course, different.

Then I clicked the detail pic realized HOLY COW IT ACTUALLY IS A PAINTING. :wow: That is so awesome. I do occasionally like to paint, but they always end up coated in brushstrokes and generally bad. (Then again, all I have are some sucky, dried-out little kid finger paints.)

This is AMAZING. I am AMAZED and AT A LACK FOR WORDS. I want to go paint something RIGHT NOW. CAPS LOCK.

ahaha, it's not a REAL painting, though. It's digital, but I didn't use any fancy photoshop brushes on it or anything.

All of it is openCanvas 1.1, one of the most simplest art programs out there which doesn't have anything fancy ((however, the newer versions like oC 4.0 and stuff have fancy upgrades, but that costs money. oC 1.1 is a free .exe file under 1MB, and you can draw with others online with it~)). All it has is a pressure sensitivity, a pen tool, watercolor tool, blur tool ((which wasn't used in this)) and eraser tool ((also not used)).

When drawing on a large canvas with just the pen tool, it gives this really really nice brush stroke like texture ((as you can see in the larger image in the descriptions)). Whenever I draw something like this, I consider it a digital painting, since all I use is the tablet and pen/watercolor tool. No special magic wands or cropping or ctrl+z or gradients here, folks!

However, if I get the chance, I love to paint irl as well~ watercolor, acrylic, pastel, you name it. I find painting in general to be very theraputic, especially since I've been going through a bit of a depression. It really helps to take my mind off things. Just put on a movie or music in the backround, start painting, and you'll be nice and calm for the day~

...LONG COMMENT IS LONG xD but I hope the picture being digital doesn't change your opinion on it. I'm still glad that you thought it was good~ :3
